COMPANY HISTORY

After months of careful preparation and planning, Neil I. Reich starts his own
business - Reich Sign Supply - in June 1977.  Neil's new enterprise is born
out of his desire for independence;  fueled by the eagerness and energy of
youth (age 24);  built upon a firm foundation of a college education and
numerous jobs in "sales";  and bolstered by his first hand knowledge of,
and involvement with, the sign industry.  (Neil's father, Jerome, was a neon
sign man, while Neil's maternal grandfather, Jacob Sumberg, was a sign
painter.)  Neil's hometown of Utica, New York serves as a location and
"backdrop" for his new business. 

Bit by bit, Neil builds up his sign supply business.  He spends weekdays driving around
New York State, calling upon prospects and customers as he sells sign supplies to
them from his "well broken-in", dark green, Econoline van.  On the weekends, Neil
picks and pack orders;  catches up on paperwork and messages;  and re-stocks the van with more sign supplies.  Long days.  Tightly scheduled weeks.  Busy weekends.

During this time, Neil also meets (March 1977), dates and marries (November 1979)
his wife, Bella Zizzi.  In October 1982, Bella joins the Company as Publications &
Marketing Coordinator.  Her job duties and job title change throughout the years
to "keep up with the times".  Bella now serves as Marketing/Advertising Director.

Each passing year brings with it new product lines;  an expanding customer base and
ever changing, better ways of doing business.  In addition to offering supplies and
equipment for SIGN MAKING, Reich Supply also offers supplies and equipment for
SCREEN PRINTING, DIGITAL PRINTING and HEAT TRANSFER APPLICATIONS. 
During the spring of 2006, Reich Supply began offering supplies and equipment for
SUBLIMATION PRINTING as well.

During December 2005, Neil relocated Reich Supply Company from the City of Utica to
the Village of New Hartford, New York.  The Company is now located just a quick
15 minute car ride away from the former 811 Broad Street building.  Since the
Company was founded in June of 1977, it was based in Utica, New York...
first at two different addresses on Bleecker Street and then for about 24
years on Broad Street.  Due to circumstances beyond his control, Neil was
forced to pack up his entire company and leave the Broad Street location
rather quickly just prior to the 2005 Christmas season.  Unfortunately, he
was not able to find another building within the City of Utica that would have
adequately accommodated the business.

Today, Neil spends most of his time in the office - tending to customer needs, while
maintaining and "growing" the business.  Reich Sign Supply is now - and has been
for a number of years - Reich Supply Company, Inc. with customers located
all across the United States and in many foreign countries as well.  Built on a
strong foundation of service, honesty and fair dealings, Reich Supply
Company, Inc. has earned, and appreciates, an excellent reputation
among customers, vendors and industry trade groups/associations.
 

JUNE 2022 MARKED THE 45th YEAR  THAT NEIL HAS OWNED AND OPERATED
HIS OWN BUSINESS IN HIS "HOME STATE" OF NEW YORK.
